THE KOMNET VISION 2003 (The Apostolic Mandate as given by the Lord to Pastor Tony Olukoyede)

NAME: KOINONIA MINISTERIAL NETWORK

ACCRONYM: KOMNET

VISION: To foster Healthy Ministerial Relationship amongst Gospel Ministers

Sometime in late February 2002, a minister of the Gospel, Pastor Peter Elumeze (now Peter Gabriel) who before then had served under my ministry, Purpose Power International for a year and 3 months came to see me in my then church office at Olowora-Inside, a suburb of Lagos, Nigeria, to ask if I could allow two colored South African Pastors from Cape Town who were visiting Nigeria to come and see me and also the possibility of them ministering in our church. To this request my answer was an emphatic ‘NO’. I told him point blank that I didn’t want to meet with anybody at the moment, reason being that we were moving houses that week, etc.

However, he pressed on further insisting that I see them, at this junction the Lord witnessed to my heart, “Why don’t you listen to him?”, to this I had no choice but to oblige him, and a few days afterwards, those two Gospel ministers: Pastor Ron Botha and Pastor Mark Kellerman visited my house on March 2, 2002. This was the same day that my family moved into that house! After exchanging pleasantries, we began to share about God’s kingdom and the importance of advancing it through sincere ministerial relationships. The moment we started to pray, the Holy Spirit witnessed into my heart again that I should listen to them.

We prayed the more, they prophesied into my life, and I also ministered to them through the words of prophecy as the Lord gave me utterance, and we were all blessed. We bonded immediately. They ministered in our church (then we were holding our services at the Lagos Airport Hotel, Ikeja). When they were about to travel back to South Africa, they said they would like me to meet their father in the Lord who had been in ministry for about 40years then.

The man of God, Apostle Alfie Fabe (we generally call him Papa Fabe) few weeks later eventually visited me along with two other of his sons in the Lord namely: Pastor Isaac Jonathan, and Evangelist John Peter-John, and they stayed in my house for two weeks.

One of the days, we had just come back from swimming at the Lagos Airport Hotel and there after Lunch, Papa Fabe went into the bedroom to have a nap while the two other ministers and myself began to pray and talk about kingdom matters. About two hours after, Papa Fabe came down from upstairs, sat down with us at the sitting room very quietly and began to speak to me.

He said the Lord has been calling me into the Apostolic but that I have been running away, and he went on to say that I should not because of age or my past disappointments be scared of stepping into Gods plan for my life, and that Timothy was a very young man when he was called into the Apostolic and Paul the Apostle had to constantly encourage him not to let any man despise his youth. He went on to say that the Lord said that he (Papa Fabe) should hold the All Nations Conference in Nigeria too and that I should host it. Again, I was very hesitant, while the other ministers, Isaac and Peter-John were very excited about this, and saw it as a confirmation of what the Lord had earlier said through them to me while we were praying shortly before Papa Fabe’s prophetic utterances, I actually excused myself and virtually ran upstairs to my bathroom and I knelt down, prayed to God that I did not want to have anything to do with this especially organizing ministers programs/conferences, as this had cost me a whole lot in the past, etc., but the Lord by His Spirit again ministered to my heart, “I am in this”.
At this junction, I put a call through to my wife who was still working in the banking industry as at that time and shared with her, and she too responded in the affirmative and said that I should not because of my past disappointments become hesitant in stepping into God’s plan and purpose for my life and ministry.

We eventually held the All Nations Conference on April 30-May 4, 2003 in company of some minister friends who formed part of the organizing team.

However, a few weeks afterwards, the Holy Spirit began to speak to me, “I have called you not just to hold an international conference, but to put a ministerial body in place where ministers of the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ could network, thereby fostering unity and healthy ministerial relationships with one another.”

By this time it was now too glaring to me what direction the Lord was leading me, and confirmations to this divine Assignment were very pronounced. I then prayerfully invited a few fellow ministers in the ministry and shared the vision with them, invited them to join me and they all responded in the affirmative in their willingness to be a part of what has become KOINONIA MINISTERIAL NETWORK (KOMNET) today. Now to the glory of God we are in a few states in Nigeria, and two international branches in Johannesburg, South Africa, and Accra, Ghana. Jesus Is Lord!

THE PRAYER OF JESUS CHRIST IN JOHN 17 AS OUR MANDATE:
In line with the burning desire and prayer of Jesus Christ in John 17, our Focus in KOMNET is to foster oneness amongst the Ministers of the Gospel of Christ, thereby advancing God’s Kingdom in the following ways:

  • UNITY – Psalm 133:1-3
  • ONENESS – John 17:21
  • STRENGTH – Luke 22:31,32
  • ORDERLINESS – Titus 1:5

As could be seen in the four functions above, in KOMNET we exist to facilitate and continually consolidate the course of unity amongst Gospel Ministers operating in any of the five-fold ministry, strive for oneness, to strengthen one another, and in so doing to sustain apostolic order in the Body of Christ.

VISION: To foster healthy ministerial relationships among Gospel Ministers.

AIMS AND OBJECTIVES
KOINONIA MINISTERIAL NETWORK (KOMNET) is the coming together of bible believing pastors, ministers of the gospel who believe, experience, practice and cherish the FULL gospel message and who have received a call to serve in any of the five fold ministries as enumerated in Ephesians 4:11 and share in our belief in apostolic networking as a scriptural strategy for strengthening one another.

It is not a union of Ministers or their ministries for a central administration. No member shall lose his or her identity to the Fellowship for the purpose of a joint administration. Rather, it is a body with the sole purpose of apostolic connection, networking and co-operation for the common good and advancement of the individual ministers and their ministries.

Such aims and objectives shall include:

1). Uniting all God–called ministers with Pentecostal and Apostolic inclination for the purpose of networking, fellowship, encouragement, inspiration, illumination and correction where the need arises.

2). It is a common platform for all Holy Spirit filled or believing ministers of the Gospel of Jesus Christ with the aim of promoting the general welfare of the individual ministers and their respective ministries.

3). To serve as a rallying point on a cooperative basis with a view to conducting regular and periodic meetings, seminars workshops and other joint programmes, for exhortation, edification, encouragement, and development of members.

4). To serve as the Mouth-piece for the (Holy Spirit) apostolic movement in the country of resident wherever it is established for the purpose of reflecting sound and fundamental views based upon beliefs, truths and sanctified wisdom of the (Holy Spirit) Pentecostal / Apostolic believers on policy matters concerning social, political and religious or any issue affecting the general welfare of the people of the resident country.

5). To serve as a united front for the purpose of providing a common front and platform for the defence of the common interest of the members.

6). To serve as a conciliate body for the purpose of mediating and providing reconciliations to members in the time of conflict, or matters that may affect the welfare and stability of the network.

7). To set up a committee that will be responsible for organising regular Training and Development programmes based upon materials provided by the committee, for ministers in general and members in particular towards self development and ministerial growth of minister

8). To Serve as a forum for ministerial networking within and outside Nigeria, for rendering mutual assistance among members for creating an atmosphere for members to realise their full potential by creating opportunities for exposures locally and internationally.

9). To set up standards of faith, and code of ethics to which ministers must subscribe to qualify for membership.

10). As the need arises, to set up KOMNET Apostolic Institute where ministers of the Gospel can attend for training and re-training purposes, and to consecrate/set-aside Apostles in every nation.
